Family and friends

Our first stop on Friday was to our good friend Alastair Gibson who is an amazing artist. He works with carbon fibre and Formula 1 parts to create all sorts of objects. The one I love the most is a ‘working’ heart.

After seeing his new projects we then went to his house to see his Van Diemen rebuild and chatted about all sorts of things. Our lunch stop was on the side of the motorway in Weston-On-The-Green.

From there we went to Millets Farm Shop to get things for dinner and breakfast. We got to Anne just after 2pm and Evie arrived just after us. We chatted, had drinks and when Evie went home, Anne and I walked into the village. We walked back through the ancient woods, relaxed and spoke, catching up with Henry. Evie came back for dinner which was a relaxed affair, with us eating on the patio.

I am passionate about using regional, seasonable and sustainable produce when I cook. I live in the picturesque fishing village of Gordons Bay with my husband and dogs. Dave and I visit new places on a regular basis to experience the food and culture of the area.
